Perhaps the finest flatpicker to enter the bluegrass scene in years, Josh Williams is a three-time winner of the IBMA Guitarist of the Year award and has played with many of the greats like Tony Rice and Rhonda Vincent throughout the years. With a playing style greatly inspired by that of Tony Rice, it only made sense for us to draw inspiration from Tony’s famous guitar when building one for Josh. What we came up with was a custom dreadnought with an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce soundboard, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, and of course, a large soundhole in honor of Tony’s famous guitar.
Since building this guitar for Josh, we have released the Large Soundhole Dreadnought, a standard model that greatly resembles the spec’s of Josh’s personal guitar. To learn more, click here.
