Sean Watkins co-founded Nickel Creek when he was just 12 years old, kickstarting a career that’s taken him from the stage of the Grammy Awards to the top of the bluegrass charts. Along the way, he’s become an award-winning guitarist, a singer/songwriter and a member of several different bands, not to mention one of the early pioneers of a genre now known across the world as Americana.
In 2014, he got an Aged Tone Slope D about halfway through Nickel Creek’s first tour in many years. Check it out in this video.
In 2001, when Sean was 24 years old, we were so inspired by Nickel Creek and by Sean’s playing of our OM Cutaway in that band that we named a guitar after him. The 25 piece Sean Watkins Limited Edition. Sean played one of three Bourgeois guitars on the Nickel Creek tours. He owned a Brazilian OMC, and Indian Rosewood OMC and a Vintage OM.
