With over 40 years of experience in acoustic guitar lutherie, Dana Bourgeois is considered one of the leading voices on building the steel string guitar. Countless accomplished players reach for a Bourgeois Guitar as their main instrument of choice. So, what sets Bourgeois apart? Join us on March 2nd at Custom Shop Guitars in San Antonio TX, where Dana will discuss his build philosophy, and also voice an actual guitar top to demonstrate his process.

Dana Bourgeois has been designing and building acoustic guitars since 1974. He has often lectured on the subject, and has also written several influential articles on various aspects of the guitar building art, most notably about tonewoods, and about the voicing and bracing of acoustic guitars. For many years he has led a small group of dedicated craftsmen building eight guitars a week in an old 1860’s mill in Lewiston Maine, following a time-honored artisinal process that has them all striving daily to build the perfect guitar.

Dana Bourgeois and Bourgeois factory rep Ryan Fitzsimmons will be at Custom Shop Guitars on March 2nd to present Dana’s voicing demonstration, answer questions, and discuss all things acoustic guitar!
