Slope D The Standard 10435

The Slope D The Standard 10435 shipped to Gladesville Guitar Factory on April 9th, 2024.

Underneath the hand-sprayed sunburst lies a not-so-standard range of tonal options, beginning with an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce soundboard. Lighter and stiffer than a traditional top, Aged Tone Spruce produces a quickness of response typically associated with years of “break-in. So why wait decades for vintage tone? Experience the vintage vibe now. Featuring a Hand Sprayed Sunburst, elegant throwback appointments and the warm, woody tonal coloration of Mahogany back and sides.

Slope Shouldered and “square shouldered” Dreadnoughts co-evolved from divergent lines of guitar DNA. Curvier and ever so slightly wider and deeper than its counterpart, the Slope D’s most important structural distinction lies in its short, 25” scale length. Long favored by country musicians – and additionally popular with a variety of American roots stylists – the Slope D is widely regarded as a superb choice for vocal accompaniment. And while also a fine flatpicking guitar, the Slope Shouldered species is usually considered a fingerpickers’ Dreadnought-of-choice.
