Join Eastman’s marketing team as visual designer. Our team is creative, forward-thinking, and expanding as our company grows. We’re seeking a detail oriented visual designer who enjoys pursuing reductive and modern aesthetics. Applicant enjoys closely collaborating in a team environment, however, is also motivated and inspired to develop new concepts independently. The applicant would feel that no detail is too small and enjoys continually refining their work.

 

Responsibilities

  • Aid in implementing bespoke visual design and brand identity for the family of Eastman brands.

  • Execute design/layout of marketing print materials

  • Execute digital/screen layouts for web content and brand websites

  • Clip, process, and retouch product and other photography

  • Log and organize all digital design assets including photos, working files, and other digital collateral

 

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Acrobat and other Adobe Creative Cloud apps.

  • Ideally has experience with Sketch, Figma, or other resolution independent design software

  • Has experience designing and producing production ready files for various print materials

  • Experienced with and has clear understanding of multi-resolution asset management and implementation for HiDPI screens

  • Experienced with retouching product photography, especially those made of highly reflective materials

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Acoustic Guitar Setup and Repair Technician to join our team of artisans at Bourgeois Guitars in Lewiston, Maine. As an integral part of our operation, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in guitar craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Instrument Setup: Perform precise setups on acoustic guitars, ensuring optimal playability and tone for each instrument.
  • Instrument Repair: Diagnose and repair various guitar issues, including fretwork, neck resets, bridge repairs, and other necessary fixes.
  • Quality Control: Conduct rigorous quality control checks to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team of luthiers to troubleshoot and solve complex guitar-related issues.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer repair requests with professionalism and a commitment to excellence.
  • Research and Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our guitar models by providing feedback and insights gained from your repair and setup experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in acoustic guitar setup and repair, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in all aspects of acoustic guitar setup and repair, including fretwork, nut and saddle making and adjusting, and structural repairs.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality workmanship.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think creatively to address unique repair challenges.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for acoustic guitars and an appreciation for their unique characteristics and tonal qualities.
  • Preference will be given to those with PLEK and guitar-building experience.

MANDOLIN LUTHIER

Bourgeois Guitars is seeking a full time Luthier to assist all aspects of development and production of our new line of high-end custom Mandolins.
For decades Bourgeois Guitars has been known for producing some of the finest flat top steel string guitars in the world.  In 2021, we began the process of bringing that same renown quality and tone to the world of Mandolins.
We are looking for an accomplished Luthier with a thorough knowledge of the history of the Mandolin in the American marketplace, a demonstrable record of executing traditional designs at a high level and the ability to interface with Bourgeois’ management to assist development of a production process and facility.
Job description includes:
  • Assist product design and development team
  • Assist process design and development team
  • Hands-on management of facility installation
  • Hands-on construction of high-end custom instruments
  • Day to day management of production personnel 
  • CAD/CAM experience is beneficial, though not necessary
