OMS Country Boy/HS 9885

The OMS Country Boy/HS 9885 shipped to McCabe’s Guitar Shop on May 22, 2023.

The Country Boy/HS is built around the things that dreams are made of. An Adirondack Spruce top provides the ideal stiffness to weight ratio. This yields even more projection and sustain. Animal Protein Glue is used to adhere our very best selection of tone woods together, giving your guitar an extra kick of tonal perfection. Mahogany back and sides tie it all together with it’s iconic rich woody tone. Wrapped in modest appointments like tortoise binding and black/maple purfling, the Country Boy celebrates simplicity. If you’re looking for understated appointments and premium build quality, the OMS Country Boy/HS 9885 is the guitar for you.

In the late 1920s, 12-fret guitars began their historic transformation into the still dominant designs of the 1930s. These guitars are know for their larger upper bouts and longer air cavities. The OMS combines these throwback features with optimal bridge placement at the center of the widest part of the lower bout. A square headstock and 25.5” scale neck are the “cherry on top” of the OMS Country Boy/HS 9885.
