Victorian Piccolo Parlor 9992

The Victorian Piccolo Parlor 9992 was shipped to The Fretted Buffalo on May 23, 2023.

Modern guitars were not simply created out of thin air in the 1930s. They evolved from the instruments that preceded them, bearing improvements such as longer necks, solid head stocks, larger bodies, higher string tension, greater volume and superior presence. Our Victorian model is a tip of the hat to an elegant, long lost “pre-pre-war” aesthetic that deserves to survive into the modern era. The Victorian includes some key features such as half-herringbone (rope) purfling, Ivoroid binding and a pyramid bridge.

Size wise, they don’t come smaller. Volume wise, the parlor is fuller than ever.

With a body length of 18”, the “Piccolo” Parlor is our smallest body offering. Featuring an experience driven, detail oriented voicing process, the “Piccolo” Parlor is a short scale guitar with an exquisitely balanced voice. You will experience a fullness that you would expect to find in larger offerings. Unique tonal characteristics are provided by a smaller air cavity that will provide new inspiration to your next arrangement. See for yourself, it’s bigger than it looks.
