Bourgeois Guitars Named Maine’s 2023 Manufacturer of the Year

Lewiston Mayor Carl Sheehan announced that June 2023 is to be officially recorded as Bourgeois Guitars Month in recognition of the Maine-based company having been named the Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers Association of Maine. This prestigious award recognizes companies with noteworthy achievements in business growth, sustainability, dedication to the community and the industry, and overall employer excellence which disproportionately contribute to the success of Maine’s manufacturing ecosystem. 

For the last 50 years Dana Bourgeois, the founder of Bourgeois Guitars, has been handcrafting world-class guitars in his home state of Maine. The company’s dedication to craftsmanship, artistry, innovation, and philanthropy has established it as a prominent figure in Maine’s manufacturing industry.  

The Manufacturers Association of Maine is committed to providing Business Development, Member Services, Manufacturing Career Connections, and Networking with a focus on value-added services such as legislative advocacy, scholarship programs, career connections for students and job seekers, and networking opportunities and events for manufacturers throughout the state.
